Moringa Oleifera Tea

Moringa oleifera is a unique and extremely helpful / therapeutic tree. The leaves are the most nutritious part; however, all parts of the tree can be useful. For a plant to naturally contain such a diverse array of phytonutrients is very rare.

What does moringa tea taste like?

Moringa tea has a mild, earthy & herbal flavour, which is not bitter like many other medicinal herbal teas. It has a very accommodating taste, complementing other varieties of herbal tea when brewed together in a teapot. Moringa tea can be enjoyed hot or cold – use honey to sweeten if needed.

How to make moringa tea?

To brew a delicious Moringa tea, follow these simple steps.

  1. Place 1 Moringa teabag into a cup or 2-3 into a 1L teapot.
  2. Pour boiling water into the cup or pot.
  3. Let the tea steep for a minimum of 5 minutes to extract the flavour and nutrients.
  4. Add honey or lemon for extra flavour, if desired.
  5. Enjoy your nutritious and refreshing Moringa tea!

*Each teabag contains 1.5g of premium organic moringa leaf.

How to Dry Moringa Leaves For Tea

The process begins with harvesting leaves from the Moringa oleifera tree in a sustainable manner. This involves cutting branches and separating the leaves from the stems. The branches can be repurposed for crafts, construction, or replanting to foster new trees.

Moringa leaves are small and delicate. To dry them we use a combination of heat and refrigerated air. This specialised method preserves the essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, enzymes, and amino acids naturally contained in Moringa leaves.

Moringa Tree Tea

  • The beautiful white Moringa flower has traditionally been used to make a delicate and therapeutic tea.
  • Moringa powder can also be brewed into a healthy tea, however, the powder texture can be off-putting for some.
  • Moringa seeds are also useful when added to water. Not so much for making tea, but they have anticoagulant properties – meaning they can purify water!

How to make moringa tea with powder

The benefits of moringa tea bags include producing a smooth and clear tea. When you use powder, the tea might feel a bit grittier until the powder settles at the bottom of your cup.

You could consider not drinking the last bit of tea. However, that’s often where many benefits are found. By consuming the powder, your body absorbs more of the herb’s therapeutic properties. This method is more beneficial than just using boiling water to extract the plants flavour and health benefits.

I like them used with Jasmine. Not too keen on the taste by themselves.

Enjoy the earthy flavour. Not convinced about the benefits though. I originally bought this for $6.95 a package from another company but they ran out of stock.

My husband had spent many times in Java over the years and had always spoken of Jamu which he had nearly every day while there. So when I found Empathy I was very excited. I have been taking moringa capsules every day and now I am drinking the tea. I had dreadful pain in my right leg at night, which pain killers didn’t help much but now there is no more pain. It’s so amazing. I also feel so much better in myself. I am very grateful for this. Thank you Empathy Healing
