Atlantic Salmon With Black Garlic Honey Marinade Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 Atlantic salmon fillets - skin off
- 2 tbsp honey (heaped tbsp)
- 1 tbsp black garlic puree
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon to garnish
Instructions
- Blend honey, black garlic puree, soy sauce and olive oil in a small mixing jug.
- Place salmon fillets on a small baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Brush salmon with half the marinade.
- Cook 180C for 15 – 20 mins - Halfway through cooking turn fillets and brush with remaining marinade.

- The cooking time depends on the thickness of the salmon fillets. I like mine medium rare, so I bake them for only 10-15 minutes. Turn them on the side and check if the middle is cooked to your liking.
- While we all love the crunchy skin of baked salmon fillets, we also know that they contain unhealthy fat. The black garlic honey marinade chars the top of the salmon, giving it a beautiful glaze and yummy flavour. You won't miss the skin!

When you press the salmon lightly with your finger, it should feel slightly firm but still give a little. If it feels very soft and squishy, it may need more cooking time.
