The Start of Empathy Herbal 

Choosing Empathy over Apathy

In 2005, amidst the chaos of the London bombings, feeling of empathy compelled me to act – changing everything.

A decade later, while holidaying in Europe, I was offered an opportunity to move to Indonesia to work, study & surf. I spent the next 3 years living & learning how to grow and make plant medicines. Combining Jamu herbs with exercise, yoga & mindful practices I was finally able to treat 20 years of chronic knee arthritis naturally.

Inspired by my results, compassionate nature & surprise funding by the Australian Government – I founded Empathy Herbal to help others improve there physical and mental health.

From Market Stall to Australian Family Enterprise

The growth of Empathy Herbal has been a journey fuelled by dedication and passion. It began in 2018, when Jimmy started attending farmers’ markets in the Noosa area. However, it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that Jimmy was able to transition to working full-time on Empathy Herbal. Through serving his local clients and online customers he was slowly able to build the business and its online presence.

In 2020, a significant milestone was reached when Jimmy met his partner, Amber, who joined forces with him to further develop and expand the business. Their combined efforts brought fresh energy and perspective to Empathy Herbal’s mission. Fast forward to 2023, Jimmy’s mum joined the team, bringing her expertise and creativity to the table by crafting unique recipes for the website.

Together, this Australian family business continues to grow and evolve, committed to spreading wellness and compassion through Empathy Herbal.
