We spend almost 1/3 of our lifetime asleep. Many scientists have proven how important sleep is to our physical and mental health. Make sure you have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. It is the key to maintaining a good mood and a healthy lifestyle.

What’s the first thing you do every morning? How do you normally feel? You probably notice when you start the day in a positive mood that there’s a high chance you’ll have a great day. Therefore, creating a feel-good morning routine is a great tip to help you start and enjoy the day! Choose any of these 10 life-changing habits, or here are some ideas for you:
- Try some yoga or stretching
- Set positive intentions
- Go for a walk
- Water plants
- Read a few pages of a book
- Make and enjoy breakfast

Habit 3: Challenge your thoughts
Have you noticed how many thoughts you have per day? A study published in 2020 shows that people generally have more than 6,000 thoughts per day. Your thoughts create emotions, and emotions can control your behaviours, which in turn change your life experience! So, if you are not 100% happy with your life now, then you should start paying attention to your thoughts and learn to challenge them.
"I don’t have to believe every thought I think. I have a choice. I choose to believe the thoughts that empower me and others."
That is one of my favourite quotes from my friend Michael Adamedes, who also wrote a great book, “Say Hello to Happiness”.
Habit 4: Incorporate a healthy diet
There’s a phrase “You are what you eat”. It has been around since the 18th century. It’s the best quote to describe the importance of diet to you.
You have over 30 trillion cells working independently to support you every moment. Their nutrients only come from water, air and food. Providing the right nutrient-rich food to your body is the key to your health!

Habit 6: Stay active
Physical activities can help your brain release certain chemicals to make you feel happier and more relaxed. Regular exercise has many health benefits, from boosting energy levels to better sleep to strengthening bones.

Habit 8: Learn something new
Do you agree that it’s exciting when you are trying something new? New things can create new experiences and help you stay in the present as well! Fortunately, we have a lot of resources on the internet these days. Let’s try something new; whether it’s a skill idea or a different point of view, they can inspire you!
Habit 9: Try meditation
More and more people are talking about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. However, it can be a challenge at first. If you struggle to start, some “active” meditation can help! Try breathing work or OSHO dynamic meditation.

Habit 10: Have some me time!
Schedule some time for yourself every day, even if it is only 10 minutes. Do anything that you enjoy and that can help you unwind during the day. This also would be the best time to practice self-love and communicate with yourself. You deserve it; enjoy!
Life is a sum of all your choices
I know it is challenging to form new habits at the beginning. Feel free to modify and incorporate these life-changing habits into your daily life. The most important thing is committing to do it persistently. Also, it’s okay to have some downtime or bad days. Don’t feel guilty about it. Just remember, everything you do can have an impact on your health and your quality of life!
In the end, let’s repeat the affirmation three times and get started!
"I am in charge of my life."
