Top Tips: -
- Use butter, don’t be tempted to use margarine. Butter has a delicious nutty flavour when melted. Butter also forms a delicious crust on the bread as it cooks.
- Fresh herbs are best! They are more aromatic than dried herbs. Any herbs can be used although thyme and particularly rosemary pair well with black garlic. You could also try chives, oregano, or parsley.
- Black garlic adds a sweet earthy flavour to a any homemade bread recipe with no yeast. It gives a depth of flavour that balances well with the tasty cheese.
- Any shape tin can be used, but heavy duty is best. I am lucky enough to have inherited a heavy-duty square fruit cake tin from my mother. A bread tin would make a great substitute..
