Five Healthy & Easy Breakfast Recipes

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” – the old always say, and it is certainly true. Research has shown that for people who had breakfast burn more calories each day, so breakfast helps metabolism! Also it can increase concentration in morning as well.

Even though, doesn’t need to eat a heavy breakfast. Just keep the fat low and high energy, as the fat is hard to digest and it would slow down the energy surge.

It is not everyone has time to sit down and enjoy a healthy morning meal, but sometimes feel boring to stick with a cereal. Let’s makes some changes with these recipes!

1. Cinnamon Oat Muffins

The muffins only take five minutes to prep and put into the oven, serve small ones on weekday mornings, or make bigger muffins for Sunday brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g honey
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 120 g low-fat yoghurt
  • 2 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 60 g sultanas
  • 60 g flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to moderate 180°C and grease a 6-hole, 250 ml capacity muffin tin ( or a 12-hole, 125ml)
  • Combine the oil, eggs, honey, cinnamon, yoghurt, lemon rind and juice and oats in a bowl and mix together well. Add the sultanas and sifted flours and stir until just combined.
  • Spoon into the muffin tin and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Cool in the tin for 2 minutes, then turn out and serve warm.

2. Avocado and Spinach Sandwich

Sandwich is quick and easy to prepare, they are great stand-by food and can be as grand as you like.

Ingredients

  • ½ avocado
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 2 tsp Black Garlic Paste
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 slices bread

Instructions

  • Cut the avocado into cubes and toss with spinach and Black Garlic Paste.
  • Combine sesame seeds and lemon juice.
  • Add to the avocado and toss well.
  • Place between slices of bread and serve.

3. Pita Pizza

Ingredients

  • 2 Pita bread
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Black Garlic Paste
  • ½ onion
  • cup mushrooms
  • 2 rindless bacon
  • ½ tomato
  • cup cheese

Instructions

  • Prepare covered barbecue to a moderate heat.
  • Slice all ingredients.
  • Spread tomato paste and Black Garlic Paste over bread and arrange all other ingredients over paste.
  • place pizza on a shallow baking dish and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is cooked.

4. Scrambled Muffins

  • 4 eggs
  • 6 slices bread
  • 3 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Black Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • butter

Instructions

  • Prepare covered barbecue to a moderate heat.
  • Remove crusts from bread.
  • Butter muffin tray and press 1 slice of bread into each cup.
  • Spoon Black Garlic Paste into each bread cup.
  • Lightly beat eggs and divide mix between six bread cups, top with half a cherry tomato and basil and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until eggs are cooked.

5. Banana & Black Garlic Smoothie
